According to the books, vampires, more specifically the Cullens, drive very fast. We're talking upwards of 160-180mph. The setting for the story is up here in the Olympic Peninsula. The roads are winding. There is almost always a thick fog seeping through the lush foliage & underbrush on either side of the road. I can't describe to you how beautiful I find this to be.
At any rate, I want a fast car (& I suppose immortality), so that I can drive like they do.
Just sayin'.
Yeah, just got around to this one and I know the feeling, though not for the same reasons as you gave, but I had a very nice rental car when we went to the mountains (big hills?) of Georgia and had that same feeling of whipping around curves and up and down... It was like I had control of a rollercoaster, though one that was quite safe, as I was driving a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, and its wide and low base was perfect as you never felt like you were going to lose control of the car, or I never felt that way. Anyway, cool post! :)
